Henan’s 46.48 Billion RMB Jiaozuo-Pingdingshan High-Speed Rail Project Launched — China Railway Construction Group Dominates | Volar machine Highlights Smart Rebar Equipment

Recently, the Jiaozuo to Pingdingshan High-Speed Rail (Jiaoping HSR) station-front construction tender results were announced. This 350 km/h HSR project, with an estimated investment of 46.48 billion RMB, is a key part of Henan’s “Mi” shaped high-speed rail network.

Six sections of the station-front project attracted bids from China Railway and multiple subsidiaries of China Railway Construction Group (CRCC). Finally, six units won: CRCC (9th, 10th, Shanghai Bureau) and CRCC Group (14th, 16th, 23rd Bureaus). CRCC Group won three sections totaling 6.085 billion RMB, with total station-front tender value around 11.6 billion RMB.

New Central China Rail Corridor, Reshaping Regional Connectivity

The Jiaoping HSR spans 230.488 km, connecting from the Zhuantai HSR Juashan line to Zhengyu HSR Pingdingshan West Station. Five new stations will be built: Qinyang West, Jiyuan East, Mengjin North, Ruyang East, Ruzhou South, while Luoyang Longmen and Jiaozuo West stations will be reconstructed, and Yichuan West reserved.

Once completed, the line will link northwest and southwest Henan, forming a fast corridor from northwest to central to southeast China. The HSR is double-track, with minimum intervals of 3 minutes. Construction is expected to complete in 4 years, with service starting in 2029.

Six Major Sections, CRCC Leads Construction

  • JPZQ-3: 25.437 km, mainly bridges (Qinyang Qinhe Bridge), CRCC 23rd Bureau won 1.824 billion RMB.

  • JPZQ-4: 23.785 km, mainly bridges (Qinyang and Jiyuan Big Bridges), CRCC 9th Bureau 1.794 billion RMB.

  • JPZQ-5: 13.098 km, including Luoyang Longmen EMU depot renovation, CRCC 10th Bureau 1.239 billion RMB.

  • JPZQ-6: 33.748 km, tunnel-intensive (7.765 km), CRCC 14th Bureau 2.379 billion RMB.

  • JPZQ-7: 33.925 km, bridges and subgrade (Beiruhe Big Bridge), CRCC 16th Bureau 1.882 billion RMB.

  • JPZQ-8: 44.209 km, longest and most expensive, includes 5.969 km HSR connecting lines, CRCC Shanghai Bureau 2.481 billion RMB.

Once completed, Jiaoping HSR will strengthen Henan’s transportation hub status, relieve the Longhai and Jiaoliu railway congestion, enhance network capacity and service quality, and contribute to Central China’s strategic development.

Over the next four years, a 350 km/h steel dragon will traverse central Henan, bringing high-speed rail access to cities like Qinyang and Ruyang, reshaping the regional transport map.
