The meeting attracted over 300 attendees, including foreign ministers and economic ministers from 53 African countries, along with representatives from the African Union and other regional international organizations. Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister, Wang Wentao, Minister of Commerce, and Luo Zhaohui, Director of the State Agency for International Development Cooperation, were present. The forum was co-chaired by Filer, Minister of African Integration and Foreign Affairs of Senegal, and the Minister of Economic Planning and Cooperation of Senegal.
The meeting laid comprehensive and in-depth groundwork for the upcoming Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, focusing on how to further enhance collaboration between China and Africa in various sectors.
